Our Team and Philosophy

At Advanced Spine and Sports Chiropractic, our team represents over 60 years of combined clinical expertise and a shared lifetime of athletic pursuit. From world-class Ironman competitors to collegiate athletes and coaches, we don’t just treat movement—we live it. Our philosophy is simple: whether you are an elite performer or simply looking to live a pain-free life, your body deserves an integrated approach. Johnny King-Marino

    Dr. John King-Marino has been a leader in chiropractic sports medicine for over 32 years. A Master-level Graston and ART practitioner, he specializes in treating difficult conditions through a combination of veteran experience and advanced soft-tissue modalities.


    An elite athlete himself, Dr. Johnny is an 8-time Ironman finisher, a 2-time Kona qualifier, and has represented Team USA in international triathlon competition. He has shared this expertise as the Team Chiropractor for USA Triathlon and LaSalle University for decades. Dr. Johnny serves as the President of the Bucks County Road Runners and lives in Doylestown with his wife, Cheryl, and their two dogs, Phoebe & Bennie.

Johnny King-Marino, DC, CCSP, CCSMS

Chiropractor

Kim Fahie, DPT

Physical Therapist

Dr. Kim Fahie (Dr. Kim) was born and raised in Doylestown. Kim attended Central Buck East High School, where she competed in field hockey, basketball, and lacrosse, graduating with honors. Dr. Kim started her education at Penn State University where she studied Kinesiology and Biology while achieving All-American status playing women’s rugby. Dr. Kim completed her studies, at Arcadia University where she obtained her bachelor’s degree in Biology and a Doctorate degree in Physical Therapy.

Dr. Kim has spent almost two decades specializing in outpatient orthopedics and sports medicine. She owned and managed several offices throughout her career. Dr. Kim particularly enjoys working with high school and college athletes. Dr. Kim holds a certification in Graston technique along with extensive training in McKenzie technique, which she applies regularly to diagnose and treat dysfunctions of the spine. She is an experienced provider using McConnell taping techniques and manual spinal mobilizations. Dr. Kim is also well versed in treating neurological disorders, including Parkinson’s and Alzheimer’s.

Domenic Pileggi, DC, CCSP

Chiropractor

Dr. Domenic Pileggi is a 2017 graduate of New York Chiropractic College with a passion for restoring movement and quality of life. A former track and field captain and pole vaulter, "Dr. Dom" brings an athlete’s perspective to his clinical work. He is a Certified Chiropractic Sports Practitioner (CCSP) and is Level 2 certified in Selective Functional Movement Assessment (SFMA), allowing him to treat the body as an integrated system rather than isolated parts.

After beginning his career working with ultra-runners and CrossFit athletes in the Scranton area, Dr. Dom returned home to Southeastern Pennsylvania to serve the community that shaped him. His evidence-based approach blends traditional chiropractic care with functional rehab and biomechanics to help patients of all ages live pain-free. When he isn't in the clinic, Dr. Dom is usually outdoors—weight training, riding his motorcycle, or trail running with his dog, Theo.

Kevin McLaughlin DC, CCSMS

Chiropractor

Dr. Kevin McLaughlin is a Doylestown local who earned his doctorate from New York Chiropractic College in 2018, graduating with honors and a specialized certificate in Sports Science & Human Performance. A former collegiate baseball player at Arcadia University, Dr. Kevin’s journey with the practice began in 2014 as an assistant before he was "persuaded" by Dr. Johnny to pursue his own doctorate. Today, he is a Certified Chiropractic Sports Medicine Specialist (CCSMS).


Dr. Kevin approaches every patient with the mindset that everyone is an athlete in their own right. His goal is to help the body adapt and perform at its peak through a blend of functional neurology and advanced taping techniques, including RockTape and FAKTR. Outside the clinic, he remains deeply rooted in the community as an assistant baseball coach at Central Bucks West. He lives in Chalfont with his wife, Niki, and stays active in local baseball and softball leagues.

Niki McLaughlin

Executive Director

Niki has been a dedicated member of the ASSM team since early 2013. A graduate of East Stroudsburg University (Class of 2010), she holds multiple teaching degrees, including one in Health and Physical Education. Her educational background has proven invaluable in working one-on-one with patients and leading community and team workshops.



During her time at East Stroudsburg, Niki excelled both academically and athletically—graduating in the top 5% of her class while also competing as a standout athlete on the university’s cross-country and track & field teams.

In her role at ASSM, Niki is involved in every aspect of the patient experience. From hands-on assistance with stretching and therapeutic exercises to managing insurance billing and addressing patient questions, she is committed to ensuring each individual feels supported and well cared for.

Niki currently resides in Pipersville with her husband, Kevin, and their daughter, Harper. She continues to embrace her love for fitness and running, now often accompanied by a toddler, stroller and a few favorite stuffed animals.

Dr. Emily Sherrard

Dr. Emily Sherrard grew up in New Jersey and attended Duke University where she was a member of the women's cross country and track team. Following in the footsteps of mother and grandfather, she attended Thomas Jefferson University for medical school. During medical school Dr. Sherrard completed her first triathlon and fell in love. After graduation she decided to pursue competing in triathlons at the professional level. After a few seasons of racing, she returned to medicine and moved to Greenville, SC for her family medicine residency. Dr. Sherrard enjoyed building relationships with her patients and caring for whole families but felt like something was missing so she decided to pursue a fellowship in sports medicine.

Dr. Sherrard recently completed her fellowship at MAHEC in Asheville, NC. Her experience solidified her love of musculoskeletal medicine and caring for athletes and active individuals. As a longtime runner and endurance athlete, Dr. Sherrard is excited to be able to meld her passions of medicine and sports to care for active patients and athletes. Dr. Sherrard is the sole medical provider at Advanced Spine and Sports and will assist in providing all our patients with sports medicine needs. Dr. Sherrard has a particular interest in caring for endurance athletes and runners, postpartum return to sport, and evaluating and treating relative energy deficiency in sport.


Outside of the office Dr. Sherrard can be found spending time with her husband and son, running, hiking, and spending time outdoors. She moved on from triathlon to marathon running and has since ran the New York City and Boston Marathons. She says it may sound like a running sin, but of the two New York City is her favorite.

Rhiannon Johnson, PTA, CEES

Rhiannon Johnson is a Licensed Physical Therapist Assistant and Certified Ergonomic Evaluation Specialist with over ten years of clinical experience. She holds a B.S. from Penn State University and an A.A.S. from California University of Pennsylvania.



Rhiannon’s professional background includes specialized training in ergonomic assessment, dynamic cupping for myofascial release, soft tissue techniques, and functional rehabilitative exercise. She is passionate about helping patients understand the relationship between structure and function—believing that meaningful, lasting change requires addressing both together.

Known for her thoughtful, patient-centered approach, Rhiannon is dedicated to restoring movement, reducing pain, and empowering individuals to stay active in their daily lives.


Outside the clinic, she enjoys hiking, reading, movies, art, traveling, and music.

JP Kallelis, DC

Dr. J.P. Kallelis is a 1998 graduate of Life University with over 25 years of experience in family wellness and sports chiropractic. After successfully running his own private practice, he joined forces with Dr. Johnny in 2015, forming a partnership rooted in a shared passion for elite patient care. Dr. J.P. operates on a core philosophy that "Motion is Life," focusing on helping the body adapt, heal, and move freely.

He is widely known for his unique approach to soft tissue work, utilizing myofascial and trigger point release to address muscle imbalances alongside traditional chiropractic adjustments. This powerful combination has helped thousands of patients resolve chronic joint restrictions and return to an active lifestyle. An multi-sport athlete himself, Dr. J.P. has competed in triathlons and road races for two decades. When he isn’t swimming or practicing yoga, he and his wife, Amy, are likely on the sidelines of a local sporting event cheering on their three children.
